Dobermann
Dobermann originates from Germany and is one of the most known breeds in the world. Until today the Dobe has a frightening reputation, even though it doesn't meet the reality. Most of the Dobermanns are companions, running partners and showdogs.

Karl Friedrich Dobermann (born in 1834) was a tax collector and a dogcatcher in a German town Apolda. He needed a sharp dog to accompany him on his rounds. He chose certain species to use in his breeding-program from the dogs he cached - Pinchers, dogs that resembled Rottweilers and German shepherds. This mix turned up to be an excellent dog - fearless guard and protector.

Dobermann has a good posture and he is muscular. To meet the ideal temper, he must be friendly, calm, and temperamental with strong nerves, sharpness is desirable. The irritability level should be high, as should be trainability. The temperament tests show that the popularity of Dobermann has weakened the temper. If the sharpness is accompanied by brisk temper, softer nerves and softness, the Dobe could be hard to control. That is why the Dobermann isn't recommended to be the first dog. The buyer should take notice of the puppy's parents' nervous system and poise, and buy the puppy from a reputable breeder. Training is a must when raising or owning a Dobe.

Dobe's hair is thick, short and hard. He doesn't have undercoat. The color should be black or red with rust markings, while the black seems to be much more popular.
